Lisa M. Sundquist Owner and Mediator Creekside Mediation
I have personal as well as professional experience as a mediator. It is my personal experience with mediation that makes me such a deep believer in this process.
As a litigation client: I have been the client of a family law attorney fighting during my divorce for my marital property and money as well as my children. I know the confusion you feel right now.
As a mediation client: I successfully mediated my separation agreement and property settlement as well as our parenting schedule. I also revised the parenting schedule for our children as they grew older and their needs changed and developed a plan for their college education using mediation. I know mediation works.
as a paralegal: After my personal experience in all these arenas i was drawn to family law and changed my career from communications to paralegal studies, graduating at the top of my class and working for some of the best family law attorneys in the area. I have witnessed the reality of family law litigation and know the legal ramifications of divorce and custody actions. I know the ins and outs of family law.
As a mediator: My personal and professional experiences led me to believe mediation is a better way to settle disputes and preserve relationships. I have seen mediation work in a wide variety of situations. I know mediation works.
My background in communications, as a family law paralegal and my personal experience with mediation, divorce and parenting have uniquely prepared me for helping families transition through the difficult issues surrounding divorce and other life transitions. I am appointed as a mediator in Frederick, MONTGOMERY AND WASHINGTON County circuit courts and also accept private clients outside the court system from all areas.
